Establishment and Purpose

The Postdoctoral and Graduate Student Association of the Guangdong Institute of Intelligent Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "Association") was officially established in June 2022. The Association aims to build an efficient platform for cooperation and exchange, promoting in-depth communication and collaboration among postdoctoral researchers and graduate students, as well as between postdoctoral researchers/graduate students and external experts, research enterprises, and universities.

Organizational Structure and Responsibilities

The Association consists of four functional departments, each with specific responsibilities:

1．Academic Activities Department:

Plans and organizes various academic exchange activities, including internal/external academic seminars, thematic lectures, topic-based exchange sessions, and academic forums.

Regularly organizes internal study and exchange sessions to enhance communication and understanding among different research groups and encourage interdisciplinary exchange and cooperation. Provides a platform for knowledge sharing in specialized fields.

2．Cultural and Sports Activities Department:

Organizes diverse internal group activities.

Establishes external connections with relevant organizations to expand communication channels.

Plans uplifting cultural and sports activities to enrich members' spiritual and cultural lives.

Assists in providing life information services to help members resolve issues encountered in work and daily life.

3．External Relations and Publicity Department:

Responsible for liaising with external organizations such as government agencies, enterprises, universities, and societies.

Conducts brand building and external publicity to enhance the Association's visibility and influence.

Seeks sponsorship from third parties or suppliers with a solid cooperative foundation to secure funding and material support for the Association's activities.

4．Financial Management Department:

Manages the Association's financial affairs, establishes and maintains income and expenditure accounts.

Assists the president in managing and auditing expenses and procuring items needed for activities.

Improves the Association's fund management methods in accordance with relevant regulations on postdoctoral funding from higher authorities.

Prepares annual/quarterly budgets.

Regularly publicizes fund usage.

Note: Core members serve a one-year term per session. Elections are conducted under the guidance of the Human Resources and Education Department, and the list is updated regularly.

Membership Rights and Obligations

1．Membership Eligibility:

In-service postdoctoral researchers and enrolled graduate students automatically become members.

2．Membership Rights:

Priority participation in activities: Priority access to opportunities for external exchanges, corporate visits, and high-end academic events.

Life services: Exclusive support such as legal consultation and psychological counseling.

3．Membership Obligations:

Participation requirement: Attend at least two academic or cultural/sports activities organized by the Association annually.

Code of conduct: Abide by the "Association Charter" and relevant management regulations of the Guangdong Institute of Intelligent Science and Technology.

Note: Members automatically withdraw upon completion of their postdoctoral term or graduation. Those who violate rules may be disqualified following a resolution by the Association's core members meeting.

Activity Achievements

As of July 31, 2025, the Association has successfully organized numerous activities with remarkable results:

1．Academic Activities: Organized 20 sessions of the "Scientific Research Techniques and Methods" series course, 13 small-class sessions on "Frontier Technologies in Brain Science and Brain-Inspired Intelligence," 7 sharing and exchange sessions on "Research Journeys" by Principal Investigators (PIs), 11 first-author academic forums, 2 postdoctoral forums, and 1 graduate student forum. These activities have effectively enhanced members' academic capabilities and significantly strengthened academic exchanges among research groups within the institute.

2．Cultural and Sports Activities: Actively organized cultural and sports activities such as barbecues, cycling, board games, and badminton competitions. Jointly hosted annual fun sports events and year-end parties with the institute's labor union, greatly enriching members' amateur cultural life.

3．External Exchanges: Successfully organized events such as the "BoZhi Xiangshan, Youth Contribution" Doctor/Postdoctoral Talent Exchange Meeting and Young Scientists Sharing and Exchange Sessions, expanding connections with external universities and enterprises.

The activities organized by the Association have provided valuable learning and exchange platforms for postdoctoral researchers and graduate students at the Guangdong Institute of Intelligent Science and Technology. They have tangibly enhanced the experimental technical skills and scientific research thinking abilities of researchers, promoted interaction and cooperation among members, and fostered a more dynamic and open academic atmosphere and work environment.
