Joint Lab of Brain-Machine Interface and Human-Machine Interaction 

The joint Lab of Brain-Machine Interface and Human-Machine Interaction is jointly built by Guangdong Institute of Intelligence Science and Technology and NeuroXess. NeuroXess makes it a mission to reduce its reliance on imported technologies and to build first-mover advantages in flexible electrodes, biomaterials, IC design, core algorithms, implantation methods, clinical applications and ecosystem building. We aim to become a global market leader in this field by 2025 through dedicated work.

Joint Lab Directors

Joint Director Prof. Xu Zhang, an Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, is the president of the Guangdong Institute of Intelligent Science and Technology. He also serves as the President of the Chinese Neuroscience Society, the Vice President of the Chinese Society of Cell Biology, the Vice President of the Pain Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and Director of Shanghai Brain-Intelligence Engineering Center.

Joint Director Prof. Hu Tao, the Founder & Chief Scientist of NeuroXess, Deputy Director of Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Founding Director of 2020 X-Lab, Deputy Director of National Key Laboratory of Sensing Technology, Leading talent of The National “Ten Thousand Talents Program” introduced by The Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China.
