From Real Fish Brain to Digital Brain GDIIST Contributes to the ΣBrains‑Lab “Thr

Recently, a joint research team led by the Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology (CEBSIT) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in collaboration with the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and the Guangdong Institute of Intelligent Science and Technology (GDIIST), released the interim achievements of the ΣBrainsLab system for AGI brain mechanism discovery. The team unveiled two major componentsa digital zebrafish and a brainscience intelligent agent (the intelligent computing brain, SeekBrain)establishing, for the first time internationally, a vertebrate digital brain constrained by a mesoscale connectome. This system achieves a closedloop simulation from visual stimulus input wholebrain neuronal dynamic response motor command output,enabling autonomous investigation of brain mechanisms.

 

As a collaborative partner, the GDIIST team primarily contributed to the construction of the digital brain model. If this digital zebrafish is a complete simulation of life, our work is precisely the digital brain that endows it with the capabilities to sense, to respond, and to be interpretable.
